FOLEY – The new year has begun, and now is the time to stock up on some books that can take you through 2019 and into the future. The Friends of the Foley Public Library’s 2019 Annual Book Sale at the Foley Civic Center will be opened to the general public on Friday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Those who attend on Saturday will be able to obtain a special, where $5 will buy you a large Tanger bag that you get to fill with as many books as you can fit.

The Civic Center is located at 407 East Laurel Avenue, right next door to the Foley Public Library.

For Friends of the Foley Library Members, there will be a member’s only preview/sale wine and cheese party on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Members are asked to please bring wine and appetizers to share. Memberships can be renewed and you can join at the door. To become a Friend of the Foley Library, $10 will get you a single membership, or $15 will get you a family membership. Become a member today to get the first choice during the book sale!

One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale go to help fund the Foley Public Library and the many events it hosts during the year.
