For the fourth consecutive year, Foley’s comprehensive annual financial report was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition for excellence in state and local government financial reporting.

The certificate recognizes governmental entities who publish easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial reports. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements.

The city’s accounting division, who is primarily responsible for preparing the document, also received an award for financial reporting achievement.
