Fort Morgan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary raises $3,000

Posted

Residents and visitors came out and supported the 29th Annual Fort Morgan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary spaghetti dinner and bake sale March 20.

“We would like to thank everyone who attended the spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Dept. The ladies auxiliary raised over $3,000 thanks to the generous support from the community of Fort Morgan,” said Heather Hestand, Ladies Auxiliary member.

If you missed the spaghetti dinner you will have another opportunity to support the auxiliary and fire department in October at the annual fish fry. Plans are in the works and details will be released as soon as they are finalized.

The two annual fundraisers raise funds for the Fireman’s Benevolence Fund and needed fire equipment. In 2020, the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department purchased a Lucas Automatic CPR machine thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Auxiliary. The $20,000 device works to resuscitate a victim while first responder focuses on other areas of treatment.
