Four arrested in Orange Beach robbery

ORANGE BEACH, AL – Four people were arrested in Orange Beach on Sept. 11 and charged in the robbery of a restaurant employee.

“We had four total for the robbery of an individual at Shipp's Harbor Grill,” Lt. Steve Brown of the Orange Beach Police Department said. “The robbery occurred in the parking lot where an employee on the parking lot was approached and a purse was taken at gun point.”

Brown said the incident occurred about 11:15 p.m. after which the group fled on Canal Road but were stopped at William Silvers Parkway or the entrance to the city’s Sportsplex. They were arrested at 11:33 p.m.

Arrested were Alison Brook Bower, 19, and Jacob Tad Hensley, 18, both from Gulf Shores, and Sierra Nicole Carter, 21, and Nicholas Cole DeShazo, both of Magnolia Springs.

“All taken into custody and there were pills found in the vehicle that resulted in the drug charges,” Brown said. “Hensley and Bower are also being charged with burglary that stems from an early case where a firearm, not the same one used in the robbery, was stolen.”

All four were booked into the Baldwin Correctional Facility on Sept. 13.

Hensley faces charges of robbery, burglary, theft of property, possession of a controlled substance and five counts of breaking and entering of a vehicle. He was under a bond of more than $70,000 on Sept. 14.

Carter was charged with robbery and possession of a controlled substance and under a $30,000 bond on Sept. 14. DeShazo faces the same two charges, but jail records indicate his bond as $60,000.

Jail records didn’t list specific charges against Bower but her bond was set at $30,000.

Only Carter's mug shot was available. The county does not publish mug shots of offenders under the age of 21.
