George "Buddy" Frederick Brown Jr., age 85, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospice, Gulfport, Mississippi.

He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Pineville, Louisiana. He was also a life member of the VFW Gaston Lee Post 5660 in Fairhope, Alabama and a Master Mason of Greeno Masonic Lodge 598, Fairhope, Alabama.

Mr. Brown retired as a supervisory security officer in 1988 at the U.S. Naval Home in Gulfport, Mississippi with over 20 years of federal service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George F. Brown Sr. and Ethel R. Brown; daughter, Brenda Storie; and sister, Sandra Henry.

He is survived by his son, George F. Brown III, and wife, Laurie A. Brown of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jessica Priest of Gautier, Mississippi, Jerrica Brown of Gulfport, Mississippi, Rachel Walls of Manassas, Virginia, George F. Brown IV of Springfield, Virginia, Kelsie Brown of Biloxi, Mississippi, Mitchel Storie of Richmond, Texas and Miranda Pavolini of Biloxi, Mississippi; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jarvis Storie of Gulfport Mississippi; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Alabama.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Brook-Cedron Cemetery, Fairhope, Alabama.
