George Calvin Dyson Jr., age 84, native and resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019.
George was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was actively involved with Christ the King School and the Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education for many years, and was a graduate of McGill Institute and Spring Hill College.
He is survived by his children, Joe (Belinda) Dyson, Mike Dyson, Tommy Dyson, Regina (Eric) Craig, Rachel (Travis) Scott; nine grandchildren, Neil (Melanie), Brittney (Tyler), David (Samantha), Janet, Courtland, Kennedy, Christian, Landon, Nicholas; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Dyson Brown; other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Colony Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church or Christ the King School.
