MOBILE — The Bayside varsity girls tennis team finished the season as the 1A-3A state runner-up. The state tournament was held April 24- 25 at the Mobile Tennis Center. Montgomery Academy was the state champion.

The Admirals had two players win the singles state title in their positions. Kida Ferrari, an eighth grader, won the No. 1 singles position and Mary Catherine Branyon, a junior, won the No. 6 position.

Ferrari, who has been undefeated for two consecutive years, also won the state championship at the No. 2 position last year. Mary Catherine Branyon won the state championship at the number five position last year.

The Bayside varsity boys tennis team finished fourth in their 1A-3A state tournament.
