ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Robertsdale resident Rex Aldridge was honored on his 98th birthday Friday, Feb. 22 with a party in his honor at the George P. Thames Adult Activity Center in Robertsdale.
Family and friends gathered to honor Aldridge, who moved to Robertsdale in 1954. He worked for REA (now Baldwin EMC) before spending more than 30 years as a lineman with the city of Robertsdale’s Utilities Department.

He is also a fixture as a local beekeeper, forming the Baldwin County Beekeepers Association, which meets monthly at the PZK Hall, and was instrumental in starting the Honeybee Festival in Robertsdale.
