FOLEY, Ala.— Daphne’s girls won the Foley Invitational varsity 5K Saturday at Graham Creek Preserve. The Trojans were led by defending county champion Mandaline Thomas with a winning time of 19 minutes, 41.6 seconds and third-place finisher Nicole Luther (21:27.1). Robertsdale senior Madelyn Wells took seventh (21:44.2) to lead the Golden Bears to a top-5 performance at fourth. Foley was sixth and Baldwin County eighth in the team competition.
In the boys varsity race, Tyler Priest led the Baldwin County Tigers to a third-place podium appearance behind winner West Florida Tech and runner-up Mart G, Montgomery. Individually Priest finished fourth with a 17:37.9 followed by Daphne’s Ethan Rowe (17:49.6) in fifth. BCHS senior Logan Steele was seventh (18:05.5) to round out the local runners in the top-10.
