Inmate from Loxley Center escapes work detail in Mobile

LOXLEY, Alabama — An inmate from the Loxley Work Release Center remains at large after failing to return from an assigned job in Mobile on Friday.

Devon Lloyd Williams, 41, left from his assigned job location in Mobile at approximately 6:35 a.m. Friday, according to a release issued by the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Williams was serving a 15-year sentence, convicted of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle in Mobile in May of 2014.

He is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, 182 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes and multiple tattoos.
