John N. Taratsas
November 21, 1933 to August 14, 2020
John was born on the outskirts of Chicago, and grew up in Illinois, and served in the US Army. After 22 years in Arkansas, he retired from Southwestern Bell Yellowpages to Fairhope, AL where he lived for 20 years, before moving to Georgia. In Fairhope, John was on the board of The Fairhope Museum, he served on the educational committee and as Vice President of the Single Tax Corporation, and was very involved with Greeno Masonic Lodge #598. He was preceded in death by his parents Nick and Sophia Taratsas, and his brother Tom Taratsas. John is survived by the love of his life Janet Taratsas of 52 years, his son’s Bill and Tom Taratsas, his nephew Nick Taratsas, daughter in-laws Kelli and Trina Taratsas, grandchildren Zoe, Hayden and Christian Taratsas, and nephew' Athan and Alex Taratsas. John was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
