Joseph Hjalmar “Joe” Erlandson, age 92, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Silverhill, Alabama, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Mr. Erlandson was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army, and was retired from the U.S. Civil Service.
He was an avid fisherman, master carpenter and a man of many talents.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sally Scott Erlandson; and is survived by daughter, Brenda (Chris) Daugherty of Spanish Fort, Alabama; son, Joel (Janice) Erlandson of Silverhill, Alabama; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Silverhill Cemetery, with Priest Nan Hayes officiating.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
