Tevin Brown has been recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference three times this basketball season.
The Fairhope High School graduate was honored as the conference freshman of the week Nov. 12, Dec. 17 and Dec. 26. He was cited the most recent time for averaging 13. 5 points, 6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in the two games. He had 19 points and 10 rebounds, his first double-double, against Auburn.
Brown had a season-high 31 points on Jan. 10 against Tennessee-Martin, leading players from both teams. He added five rebounds and three assists.
As of Monday (Ja. 14), he ranked 13th in the conference with a 13.4 scoring average. He led in three-pointers made and was second with a .433 three-point field goal percentage.

MEN'S SWIMMING
Out of Fairhope High, Jackson Tunks was a part of the Queens University of Charlotte 200-yard medley relay team that placed third at a meet against Catawba. The junior finished fourth in the 200 individual medley and fifth in the 100-backstroke.
Birmingham-Southern College senior Jackson Algiers placed second in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 200 IM and 200-butterfly at the Viking Classic. The McGill-Toolen Catholic graduate was part of the 400-medley relay that placed second and the 200 medley relay that took third.

MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD
Samford University freshman Luke Dobbins finished 10th in the mile at the Blazer Invite. He is out of Bayside Academy.
University of Alabama sophomore, Jacob Spotswood, a past Yellowjacket, placed ninth in the shot put at the Blazer meet.

MEN'S WRESTLING
Clarion University freshman Justin Ingram lost two bouts at the Cleveland State Open. The Spanish Fort High product competed in the 141-pound class.

WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD
Previously at McGill-Toolen, Caroline Huff of Samford placed 18th in the long jump at the Blazer meet.
University of Louisiana at Monroe freshman Alivia Busch finished 21st in the shot put at the Ted Nelson Invitational. She competed for Spanish Fort.
University of Southern Mississippi sophomore Callie Jones, a former Toro, finished 22nd in the high jump at the Blazer event.
