Keith Kenneth Kennard, age 83, passed away Saturday evening, May 13, 2017 in Daphne.

He was born in Mayville, Michigan to George and Edna (Davis) Kennard. His family came south to the Elsanor community when he was a young boy.

He graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1952. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years in December 1972 where he was an air traffic controller.

He later worked as a Ford auto mechanic and then as the grounds supervisor at Robertsdale Elementary School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Kennard; two brothers, Clayton Kennard and Bill Kennard; two sisters-in-law, Jane Kennard and Jessie Kennard; and one grandchild, Joshua Kennard.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Waters Kennard; one brother, Sonny Kennard and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Kennard; two sisters, Alice (Joe) Coleman and JoAnn (Bobby) Lowery. He is also survived by one daughter, Toni (Darryl) Turner; four sons, Joey (Ginny) Kennard, Marty (Kim) Kennard, Darryl (Kathryn) Kennard and Randy Kennard; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed gardening and woodworking crafts.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church in Robertsdale, Alabama.

The family will begin receiving friends at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
