Leon Victor Darnell, age 85, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Morgan Darnell; sisters, Catherine Gibbons and Bonnie Dubose; and brother, Bill Darnell.
Mr. Darnell is survived by his sons, Henry (Nancy) Darnell of Saraland, Don (Carla) Darnell of Waynesville, North Carolina and Ricky (Paula) Darnell of Grand Bay; daughters, Cindy Darnell Bishop of Fairhope and Jamie Darnell Logan of Elberta; stepdaughters, Linda Rayborn (Sid) Chupek of Fairhope, Karen Rayborn Aldridge of Alabaster and Cheryl Rayborn (Terry) Brister of Fort Walton Beach; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Eastern Shore Church of Christ.
Visitation will begin at 9 until time of service.
Interment will follow funeral services at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
