Louisiana woman killed in crash on I-65 near Stockton

A single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 65 southeast of Stockton has claimed the life of a Baton Rouge, Louisiana woman.

According to a release issued Tuesday morning by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Alabama State Troopers responded at 2:50 p.m. Monday when a 1999 Honda Accord, driven by Diamonikue Terreon Jones, 20, left the roadway and struck a tree at the 33.2 mile marker on I-65, three miles southeast of Stockton.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. State Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash, according to the release.
