Loxley man booked on child exploitation charges

LOXLEY, Alabama — A 65-year-old Loxley man has been arrested and charged with seven counts of production of child exploitation material and seven counts of possession of child exploitation material.

According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Michael Harvey Oakley has been booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Facility with bonds totaling $280,000.

Agents with the State Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit arrested Oakley after receiving an investigative lead, according to the release.

SVU was assisted by ALEA’s Tactical Team, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to the release.
