Magnolia Springs Public Library’s Nov. Pledge Drive going on now

Posted

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS – Fall is here, and with it comes Magnolia Springs Public Library’s November Pledge Drive. The pledge drive will run for the entire month of November and offers many chances for folks to try for fabulous prizes as well as help out the local library.

“Donations of all sizes are greatly appreciated, but pledges of $100 or more will be entered to win one of several prizes, one of which is a free night at the Grand Hotel,” said Library Director Elise Nodar.

Prior to the drive, employees and volunteers of the library worked together to determine and acquire a multitude of raffle prizes to be awarded once the pledge drive has ended. Each participant who contributes $100 or more will be eligible to win the prizes, and each winner will be drawn randomly by the library staff.

The pledge drive is one of the library’s largest fundraisers of the year, and all money raised during the drive is essential to the library’s year-round budget.

“We are very appreciative of the generosity of our patrons,” said Nodar. “The staff and volunteers of your Magnolia Springs Library want to thank you for your continued support and patronage during the past seven years … Due to your generosity, we have had a wonderful year.”

Being a non-profit organization, the library relies on their patrons’ and benefactors’ support. The donations will go towards the purchase of books, audiobooks, e-books, DVDs, and other library supplies.

If you would like to participate in the pledge drive, forms can be picked up at the Magnolia Springs Public Library. Checks can be made out to the “Friends of the Magnolia Springs Library,” and can be returned to the library during their normal business hours (Tue., Wed., and Fri. 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Thur. 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)

The first 50 patrons to return a completed pledge card will receive a Magnolia Springs Library tote bag.

“On behalf of the Magnolia Springs Library, I want to personally thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you soon!” said Nodar.

The Magnolia Springs Public Library is located at 12440 Magnolia Ave. Suite 600. For more information you can visit their website at MagnoliaSpringsLibrary.org.
