Margaret Marie Schaff, age 76, a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Margaret was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Optimist Club of Lillian, Red Hat Society and a lifetime member the Lillian Community Club. She was proud to be in partnership in Schaff Farms with her husband and son.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Schaff Jr. of Elberta; four daughters, Eva Marie (William) Bensinger of Oswego, Illinois, Evelyn Mary (Stephen) Duckworth, Georgette Elizabeth (Michael) Tacheny, both of Lillian, Megan Georgeanne Schaff-Edwards of Elberta; son, Geoffery George (Carole) Schaff of Elberta; two brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Giles of Gulf Shores, Ronald (Dora) Giles of Pensacola; nine grandchildren, Mitch, Hayley, Rebecca, Marissa, Collin, Justin, Kolby, Emi and Kody; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at 10 a.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
Interment will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
