Mark Benjamin Reed, age 68, a native of Mobile, Alabama, attended and played baseball at Samford University and graduated from Cumberland School of Law. He was a partner in the law firm of McDermott, Slepain, Windom and Reed.

Mark was co-founder of Checkers Drive-Thru Restaurant and also enjoyed many real estate ventures, especially in the Baldwin County area.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Kathryn Reed; along with his brother, Tim.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janice Donaghey Reed; three children, Jillian (Jake) Wallace, Kersten (Ryan) Bowman and Anderson Reed; two granddaughters, Linley Bowman and Rowan Wallace.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, 2 p.m., at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
