Mary Margaret Dawson Englett, a lifelong resident of her beloved community of Rosinton, Alabama, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2019.

She was born in Rosinton March 2, 1928. Except for a couple of years living in Mobile, she resided in Rosinton her entire 91 years.

Mary graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1946. After high school, she completed the business program at Heffstetler Business College and worked in the accounting field in Mobile.

She married Billy Englett in 1948 and prioritized raising her family. Later, she worked for Carl Grant Tractor Company in Robertsdale and then retired from Gulf Telephone.

She is survived by three daughters, Delores (Craig Loy), Billie Ann Englett and Beth Englett; three granddaughters, Courtney Cathers (Phil), Carla Godwin (John Ellison) and Casie Harcus (Jeremy); and seven great-grandchildren, Kelly, Haley, Addie and Emmalee Adams, Trey Hammons, and Graften, Annalyn, and Madalyn Harcus.

She loved her faith, her family, her community, her work, her friends, good food, crocheting and country music.

The service will be held Monday, Aug. 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow at Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery (formerly Rosinton Road Baptist Church).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts may be made to Rosinton Landmark District, c/o Rosinton Heritage Association Inc., 18250 State Hwy. 104, Robertsdale, AL 36567. Make checks payable to Rosinton Heritage Association.
