Mary Wood Montgomery, age 93, a resident of Fairhope, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.
Mary attended Judson College in Marion, Alabama and then went to Samford University in Birmingham and graduated in 1946. She then became a social worker for the Department of Public Welfare.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Wilson Montgomery; and son, David Wilson Montgomery.
Mary is survived by her granddaughter, Brandi Montgomery of Gulf Shores; grandson, Brandon Montgomery of Fairhope; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Harrell; other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Fairhope United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
