Max G. Northcutt, 82, born in Rosinton, Alabama and a resident of Loxley, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olean Northcutt and Bertha Price Northcutt of Rosinton.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dot Harris Northcutt of Loxley, Alabama; a son, Barry (Susan) Northcutt of Saraland, Alabama; a daughter, Andrea Northcutt of Daphne, Alabama; a granddaughter, Jena (Josh) Osborne of Loxley, Alabama; a grandson, Sean (Faron) Northcutt of Spring Hill, Kansas; a great-granddaughter, Heidi Holland of Loxley, Alabama; a step-great-granddaughter, Caelyn Osborn of Loxley, Alabama; a brother, Lloyd (Roslyn) Northcutt of Robertsdale, Alabama; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

After joining the Air Force in 1952, he was stationed in Germany, England, seven states in the South, Southwest and Southeast. He served a year in Vietnam in 1968 as a flight engineer where he received numerous medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.

After retiring with 21 years of service in the Air Force he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Mobile, Alabama for 18 years and retired as an analyst.

He attended Alabama Christian College and received a degree in business administration.

He was a longtime member of the Loxley Church of God.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home, with military honors in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, Alabama.
