Melinda Rogers

Melinda Rogers passed peacefully from this world on June 15 in Foley after a brief illness. Born in Darlington, Ind., to Margaret Brainard and Dwight Walters, she is survived by her son, Tagg Rogers (Natasha) of Semmes, Ala., grandson, Austin; sister, Myra Dunn Abbott (Paul) of Crawfordsville, Indiana and cousin, Elaine (Dan) Ricks of Washington, D.C., as well as grand nieces and nephews.

Melinda's early years were spent in Darlington and Indianapolis, Ind. She received her interior design degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Having spent her early years in the North, she spent most of her life in the South, becoming an avid fan of the Saints and the Crimson Tide.

A longtime resident of Foley, Melinda, a well-known realtor, found homes for many families throughout her real estate career, and most recently with Adams Homes.

Her many friends and acquaintances describe her as warm, sympathetic and positive. She always enjoyed being with people. She was widely held in high regard for her dedication and knowledge. She loved boating, swimming, gardening, cooking and collecting antiques.
