Mikell Bond Frechette passed away in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 15, 2021. Mikell was born in Prentiss, Mississippi. Subsequent to the completion of his primary education, Mikell attended Savannah College of Art and Design. Inspired by his experience at SCAD, Mikell primarily focused his career in Orange Beach, Alabama where he became a recognized and respected Alabama artist. Throughout his life, Mikell, always a loving child of God, was an endearing individual who enjoyed and appreciated both the love he offered to others and the love he unassumingly received in return. Mikell was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents, Winnie Mae and George Bond; his maternal grandparents, Louise and James Mikell, of Prentiss, Mississippi; and his stepfather Mike Martin, of Orange Beach. Mikell is survived by his mother, Melanie Martin, of Orange Beach; his father, Paul Frechette of Pensacola, his sister, Missy Frechette Courts of Atlanta, Georgia, and his brother, Zac Martin of Birmingham, Alabama. Mikell was also very close to his nieces, Mollye Mikell Courts, Campbell Mae Courts and Emmy Lane Courts, of Atlanta, and Catherine Martin of Birmingham. In respect to the current coronavirus related concerns, a private family service will be held with a celebration of Mikell’s life to be announced at a later date.
