Mildred Emma Havel Engstrom, age 95, a native of Silverhill, Alabama and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
Mrs. Engstrom was a teacher at Silverhill School for many years. She was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church, ARTA, AARP and the Homemaker's Club. She was also a volunteer of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Frank William Engstrom.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Fernandez of Shreveport, Louisiana, Sarah Jones of Beaverton, Oregon, Kaydene Engstrom of Fairhope and Paula Chu of Waxhaw, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; brother, Wilbur Havel of Silverhill; along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Fairhope United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Interment will follow in Silverhill Cemetery.
