Most Foley city offices closed on July 3 for Independence Day Holiday

City of Foley offices except for emergency personnel will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day on July 4. City swimming pools at Aaronville and Max Griffin Parks will be open on Friday, July 3, but closed on Saturday, July 4. The Holmes Medical Museum and the Railroad Museum located in the historic depot will be open on Friday, but closed on July 4. The Foley Public Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4, and reopen on Monday, July 6 at 9 a.m.

The Public Works Department will be closed on Friday. Friday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Thursday, July 2. The garbage and recycle schedule for the rest of the week is not affected. Limbs/yard debris and bulk pickup will start back where the department leaves off before the holiday. Please be patient as these services may run behind for a few days due to the holiday.

City offices will reopen on Monday, July 6 at 8:00 a.m. The next regularly scheduled joint work session/city council meeting will be held in the Foley Civic Center at 4 p.m. on July 6.
