Mrs. Jane G. Hedden

Mrs. Jane G. Hedden, age 87, a native of White's Chapel, Alabama and a resident of Elsanor, Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019.

Mrs. Hedden received her bachelor's degree from Judson College and her master's degree from Troy University. She taught 27 years at the Elsanor School.

Mrs. Hedden was a generous person who enjoyed cooking, flowers and watching hummingbirds.

As an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church, she had many roles, including church clerk, nursery attendant and Sunday school teacher. She taught Sunday school for over 50 years.

Most of her life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church. She loved them all.

Mrs. Hedden was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Eiland; and grandchild, Elisha Hedden.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leonard Ford Hedden; daughter, Kathy Foerster (William); three sons, David Hedden (Cindy), Keith Hedden (Cheri), Glenn Hedden (Lenora); two sisters, Mary Taylor, Margaret Beatie; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Nicholas Foerster officiating.

Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Robertsdale, Alabama.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church.
