Mildred, also known as "Nana," was a mother and grandmother to many. She was known as the neighborhood mom.

Mildred found joy in gardening, cooking, drawing and painting, as well as knitting scarves for friends and family, but her utmost joy was found in serving others. You never left her presence without a full heart and belly.

She took great pride in being a faithful wife and honorable (grand)mother. She had a heart bigger than the size of Texas - she loved with all of her heart, and was loved profoundly by many.

Her internal strength was a driving force to those close to her. Her family was everything to her, and she was everything to them.

She was nurturing, loving and selfless. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out, and had an influential effect on all generations during her life.

The family invites donations in lieu of flowers in Mildred's name to Our Garden of Angels, 2134 Goerte Dr., Grand Prairie, TX 75051 (or a charity of your choice).

Friends and family can attend the memorial service held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Foley United Methodist Church, 915 N. Pine St., Foley, AL 36535 in the building left to the church. Texas services to follow, and will be communicated via family, friends and Facebook.
