Thanksgiving weekend marks the start of the holiday season at OWA. In addition to The Park at OWA’s Season Pass Black Friday sale, Downtown OWA will be hosting its 2nd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 24th from 6-8pm.
The 36-foot tall Christmas tree sits at the entrance of admission-free Downtown OWA, overlooking the picturesque 14-acre lake in the center of the property. Festivities begin in Downtown at 6pm with live music, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and joyous Christmas performers. The lighting of the tree will be at 7pm.
“We are excited to kick-off the holiday season with such a fun-filled weekend,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s Director of Marketing/PR. “Families can enjoy thrills in The Park, grab its Black Friday special, and then hop over to Downtown OWA and take advantage of everything our amazing restaurants and shops have to offer. It is sure to be a wonderful way to get the season started here on the Gulf Coast.”
This Thanksgiving weekend, OWA invites you to spend time with the family exploring the Gulf Coast’s newest entertainment destination — The Park at OWA will be open all weekend and Downtown OWA’s restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues will be offering great deals in honor of Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
Downtown OWA is always free for the public to enjoy. The Park at OWA hours are weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
