FOLEY — OWA welcomes the holiday season with festive flair during the 3rd annual

Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 16. Expanding upon previous years, Saturday’s

ceremony will include more live entertainment, more holiday cheer, and more surprises for

those in attendance. The ceremonial festivities will kick off in the streets of Downtown OWA at

5 p.m.

The 36-foot tall Christmas tree sits at the main entrance of OWA, overlooking the 14-acre lake

and picturesque fountain in the center of the property. Festivities begin in Downtown OWA at

5 p.m. with live music throughout the streets, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and joyous

Christmas performers. The lighting of the tree will be at 6:50 p.m.

“With the weather cooling down on the Gulf Coast, we are thrilled to welcome the holiday

season here at OWA,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s Director of Marketing/PR. “Our Christmas

Tree Lighting Ceremony has only grown over the years, and this one is guaranteed to be a

ceremony to remember.”

Following the lighting of the tree will be its Christmas light show, quick firework display, festive

live performances, and plenty of opportunities to grab a photo with Santa Claus. The ceremony

and its merriments are free and open to the public. More information and a full schedule of events for the evening can be found at VisitOWA.com/Events.
