ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Brynn Atwell drove in the title-clinching run and picked up the game-three pitching win for the Central Saints over the Bayshore Eagles last Wednesday at Central Christian in Robertsdale.

Late deciding-game rallies added to a 3-1 lead and Atwell’s RBI double in the bottom of the sixth gave the Saints the series winning 11-1 margin for the championship. Atwell was also named the 2017 Panhandle Christian Conference Most Valuable Player.

Earlier in the series Central Christian won 10-9 and Bayshore won 14-12 to set up the pivotal championship-deciding matchup.

Atwell had three hits and five RBIs in the title game, Sarah Hall and Audrey Kirby each delivered three RBIs with two hits, Kirby also scored three runs and Savannah Callow had an RBI hit and scored three runs. Jordanne Clabo had three hits, Amberly Linton had a hit and scored three runs, Abby Hedden had a hit and scored one and Derica Johnson had a hit for CCS.

The Lady Saints also received an invitation to play in a national tournament in Tennessee.
