ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Baldwin County and Panhandle Christian Conference rivals Bayshore and Central Christian met in the 2016 West Regional volleyball tournament championship match Saturday at Central Christian. The Bayshore Eagles took a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-12, 26-24) for the West Regional title over the West Regional runner-up Saints. Both local teams advanced to the PCC championships this weekend hosted by Bayshore in Fairhope.

Central will face West Florida Baptist Friday Oct. 14 in the first round at 5 p.m. Bayshore will then take on Trinitas at 7 p.m.

The first round winners will advance to the championship match Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The consolation match is set for 10:30 a.m. A JV Championship match will open the tournament finals with a 9:30 a.m. start.
