Paul Hunter, age 73, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018.
He was the assistant chief of the Barnwell Volunteer Fire Department (retired), a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge and was retired captain of Louisiana State Corrections.
He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Linda H. Hunter; daughter, Paula Hunter; and brother, Arnold Hunter.
His survivors include his children, Paul Savell, Craig Savell, Allison Richardson and Shelley Spencer; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Honeycutt, Shirley Thomas and Bonnie Duck; his K-9 companion, Cheryl; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in Brook-Cedron Cemetery.
