Percy "Bert" Brantley, age 86, a longtime resident of Fairhope and a current resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017.
He was a Merchant Marine, welder, electrician, plumber, etc. He was a "Jack of all Trades" with a welcoming personality who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Landes Brantley; sons, Eddie Brantley and Bo Brantley; daughter, Karen Mautino; sister, Carolyn Bishop; brothers, Ralph Brantley, Billy Brantley and Edgar Brantley.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan Robinson of Loxley and Barbara (Chris) Ybarra of Gulf Shores; son, Ronnie (Kathy) Brantley of Galliano, Louisiana; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Brantley of Fairhope; many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation for Bert will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels in Gulf Shores, Alabama, or Community Hospice.
