Perdido Middle School student selected for District Honor Band

PERDIDO, Alabama -- Perdido seventh grader, Ceanna Livermore, an oboist with the school’s middle school band, was recently selected to participate in the Baldwin County Middle School Honor Band. She was one of 82 students, from the county’s eight middle schools to be selected after an audition process. The honor band was conducted by Natalie Hughes, director of bands at Semmes Middle School in Mobile. She is also professor of trumpets at the University of Mobile. The program included the following pieces: “Lightspeed,” “Abandoned Treasure Hunt,” “Prevailing Winds” and “Uptown Funk.” She is the daughter of Shawn and Rebecca Livermore.
