Both Girls and Boys teams won the 1-A County Championship. The girls score for their championship game was 36-11 and boys score was 28-25.

PERDIDO, Ala. — Excitement was everywhere Jan. 11 as both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were recognized during the Perdido Middle School’s pep rally send off by the entire student body. Both Girls and Boys teams won the 1-A County Championship. The girls score for their championship game was 36-11 and boys score was 28-25.

Members of the girls’ team and those who were recognized for their outstanding performance during the tournament and season are: Girls MVP - Lillie Lanham, Girls All Tournament - Kaitlyn Stephens and Girls All Tournament-Hannah Brooks. Their record for the season was 9 wins and 4 losses.
The girls championship roster includes: Lillie Lanham, Kaitlin Stephens, Hannah Brooks, Mary Emma Brooks, Raelee Young, Natalee Presley, Raven Ryland, Alexis Ellis, Sydney Gardner, Gracey Lassiter, Leighanne Vinson and April Foster.

The boys’ championship-season record was 10 wins and 2 losses. Those who were recognized for outstanding performance were: Boys MVP - Tanner Durant, All Tournament – J.W. Jackson and All Tournament-Ty Drinkard. The boys championship roster includes: Ty Drinkard, J.W. Jackson, Tanner Durant, Braxton Scarborough, Damian Singleton, Chance Bryars, Justin Brunson, Drew Turner, Landon Harville, Josh Hyatt and Coleman Dove.
