Phyllis Roe Pierce, age 82, was born in Buffalo, Wyoming and lived there until her early teens, a longtime resident for over 50 years of Oyster Bay community, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017.

Phyllis was a member of the Oyster Bay Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

Preceded in death by a son, Darrell Pierce.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Adrian "Doug" Pierce of Gulf Shores; sons, Douglas (Tammy) Pierce of Marrero, Louisiana, Darin (Tracy) Pierce of Summerdale, Alabama; daughter, Jackie (Fred) Mott of Foley, Alabama; a sister, Lea (Obie) Oden of Ft. Payne, Alabama; brothers, Roy (Jackie) Miller of Elberta, Alabama, Steve (Dalene) Roe of Sheridan, Wyoming; sisters-in-law, Juanita Bemis of Gulf Shores, Betty Pierce of Hampton, Georgia; brother-in-law, Norman Pierce of Loxley, Alabama; grandchildren, Madison (Shane) Lirette of Waggaman, Louisiana, Finn, Jack Pierce , Conner Kirk; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from Oyster Bay Baptist Church, Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 4 p.m.

Interment followed at Oyster Bay Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Oyster Bay Building Fund, 4280 Plash Road, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
