Rebecca DeVore, age 86, a former resident of Anniston, Alabama and Dalton, Georgia, residing in Fairhope, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on April 15, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas DeVore Jr.
Mrs. DeVore is survived by her daughter, Claire (Todd) West of Fairhope; granddaughters, Amy (Michael) Purvis of Pensacola, Florida, Courtney West of Fairhope; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Greenwood, South Carolina on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive guests after the service at Greenwood Memorial Garden's facilities.
For friends of Mrs. DeVore and her family in the Fairhope area, the family will hold a reception at Mrs. DeVore's daughter's home; the time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Home, 810 Maxwell Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
Those preferring to send flowers are asked to send items that can be placed in a memory garden in her honor.
