Regina Caroline “Carol” Clegg Seibert

Carol was born in 1939 in Enterprise, MS. She was the 7th child born to Pascal and Lillie Mae Clegg. Carol married Fred Seibert III in 1964 and the two were devoted to each other until he preceded her in death in 1998. After working at Scott Paper Company along with Fred, they moved their family to Elberta, Alabama to return to the farm that Fred’s family had built over the years. Carol became his “right hand man” managing the farm and household while Fred maintained his job at Scott. Carol was a devoted mother to her daughter Joanna Childress (Vernon) and her son Greg (Elisa). Carol spent each day of her life ensuring they knew they were loved and supported. Carol leaves behind three grandchildren: Joni Reece (Ben), Frederick Seibert IV, and Lucy Grace Seibert. All of these grandchildren attended St Benedict Catholic School in Elberta, Alabama where Carol was an avid supporter through volunteering whenever she could in support of the school community. A private graveside service was held at Swift Cemetery in Miflin with her immediate family in attendance.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to St. Benedict Catholic School, 12786 Illinois Street, Elberta, Alabama 36530.
