Richard Kelvin Winters, 86, of Wooster and formerly of Findlay, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice.

He was born July 14, 1931 in Deshler to Oscar and Laila Brown Winters. He was a graduate of Findlay High School and Valparaiso University.

Richard was the owner of RKW Inc. for over 40 years and served his country in the Air Force during Korea.

He was an avid golfer and traveler, loved photography and was best known at a loving grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Wesley) Johnson of Wooster, Carole Watson of Cincinnati and Sviatlana Shoemaker of Foley, Alabama; grandchildren, Andrew, Melissa, Richard and Elizabeth Johnson, John Erin and Lillian Watson and Katrina Shoemaker; great-grandchildren, Taylor Leighty, Brynn and Bryson Watts and Haydon Johnson.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Winters; son, Richard Winters Jr.; a brother, Norman Winters; and sisters, Lois Shank and Ruth Kientz.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1120 W. Main Cross St., Findley, OH, with his daughter, Rev. Diane Johnson officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
