Robert Cecil Abbott, age 80, resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019.
Cecil graduated from Foley High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 until 1962, serving in the U.S. Strategic Air Command.
He founded and ran his own business from 1980 until 2002, and enjoyed trout fishing and visiting the Tennessee mountains.
He is survived by wife of 57 years, Mary Nell Abbott of Daphne; sons, Michael D. (Aleecia) Abbott of Daphne, Robert L. (Sherri) Abbott of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Charles (Pat) Abbott of Stauton, Virginia; sister, Joyce (Gene) Grey of Toledo, Ohio; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
