Robert Paul Vosloh, age 82, of Iowa Falls, died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls.

Robert (Bob), also known as "Gator Bob," was born on Aug. 19, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Fred W. and Helene (Johnson) Vosloh.

He graduated in 1953 from Miami Jackson High School and the University of Florida in 1957 with a degree in agricultural engineering. During his time at the University of Florida he also played guard on the football team and was a three-year letter winner.

In September 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio he married Dorothy Adkins.

He was a reserve commissioned officer with a rank of first lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962.

Bob began his career with Pfizer then went on to work for Iowa Veterinary Supply. In 1979, Bob and Dorothy started their own company, Agri-Pro Enterprises of Iowa Inc. in the basement of their house with the Dosatron Medicator.

He became a legend in the animal health industry by traveling all over the world. During the next 32 years he built the company by adding many more products and went on to retire in 2011 at his home in Foley, Alabama. Agri-Pro is now a family business in its third generation.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, St. Andrew by the Sea in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Iowa Falls Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1674, the Masonic Lodge of Iowa Falls 192 and the Gator F Club. He was also a longtime Gator Booster, was a part of the Florida Gators Fabulous '50s and was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

In Bob's free time, when we wasn't selling (which wasn't very often), he enjoyed playing golf, gardening, driving his 1959 Edsel, always searching for the best BBQ and supporting the Gators.

Bob is survived by his children, Lari (Joe) Rabe of Iowa Falls, Paul Vosloh of Parrish, Florida, Grant (Mary) Vosloh of Houston, Texas and Marianne (Jeff) Janes of Story City; a dear friend, Ruth Lewis; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Vosloh; a brother, David (Sue) Vosloh; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred W. Vosloh III; and his first wife, Dorothy F. Vosloh.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 2 at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, with a private burial in the Union Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 1 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

The family would like to thank the Scenic Manor Living Community for the loving care of their father.
