ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The staff of a new walk-in clinic in Robertsdale says they want people to know that they are open to serve the people of Central Baldwin County.

“We can do everything here but full labs,” said Amy Younce, a certified nurse practitioner, who is working in collaboration with Dr. Ruth Wyckoff, and an office manager, Beverly Overstreet.

Robertsdale Urgent Care opened Dec. 11 at 18557 E. Hammond St., in the same office with Dr. Brian Pierce of Central Baldwin Chiropractic Center.

“Right now we are open four days a week, and are hoping to expand our hours as we add more patients,” Younce said. “It’s been a little hit and miss, but so far we have not had any zero days (days where they have seen no patients).”

Robertsdale Urgent Care offers a full-service facility, Younce set, able to treat wounds and broken bones, in addition to providing treatment for illness, including flu and cold symptoms.

“We’ve certainly seen our share of that this season,” Younce said.

The facility hosted a ribbon cutting and open house with the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Feb. 22.

Currently the facility is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Saturday.

Younce said she, along with Wyckoff, continue to work on staff at West Florida University Hospital in Pensacola, but is committed to providing the best care possible for the patients in Central Baldwin County.

“We are here to serve the community,” she said, “and we are glad to be here.”
