Ronald David Hoover, age 86, a native of Bakersfield, California and a resident of Daphne, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.

Ronald was a proud veteran, he served his country during the Korean War. He ran the space simulation chamber for TRW Space and Technology Group (Northrup-Grumman) for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Hoover.

Ronald is survived by one son, Larry (Sally Jo) Hoover of Daphne; one daughter, Laura (Eddie) Karpinski of Cerritos, California; four grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey, Danny, Ben; four great-grandchildren, Karmyn, David, Scarlett, Hannah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ronald always reminded us that the best time of his life was when he was surrounded by family.

We will always remember how he loved learning new things and giving his two cents on any situation. His ability to change his mind based on the facts was one of his greatest strengths.

And he used that strength to learn what having family truly is all about. Ronald learned what it is to be loved and to love. He loved his family and in his later years made sure we all knew it.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 from 9 until 10 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
