Rose H. Givens, born July 21, 1935, passed away on May 14, 2017 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama.
She is survived by her loving husband, James A. Givens; children, Patricia Kolich, Nancee Gerson (Victor), James W. Givens (Beverly) and Robert Givens (Kristen); 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Hoffman; and brother-in-law, Neil Givens (Susie); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Emil and Cora Hoffman; brothers, Walter Hoffman (Betty), Marvin Hoffman and Elwood Hoffman (Patsy); son-in-law, William Kolich; and two nephews, Richard Hoffman and Mark Hoffman.
The family would like to thank the Mitchell Cancer Center and the Thomas Hospital nurses and doctors who provided excellent care.
A private memorial service will be held in St. Louis on Saturday, May 20.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
