FAIRHOPE – A new roundabout is planned for the intersection of Baldwin County 32 and Baldwin County 13 near the Fairhope Airport, according to county officials.
The Baldwin County Commission voted Nov. 26 to place the design of the intersection improvements on the consent agenda for Dec. 3. Consultant Mott McDonald will design the changes at a cost not to exceed $121,575.
The cost is only to design the change at the intersection, which is now a four-way stop. The design costs are on the 2020 budget, but the county has not set a timetable for construction.
The intersection is at the south end of property recently purchased by the city of Fairhope for a new recreation complex.
