Sandra "Sandi" Kaye Fortner, age 69, a resident of Barnwell, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018.
Sandi was a loving, compassionate, beautiful and humble wife, Momma, sister, friend and Grammy.
She was a sweet and devoted teacher of 37 years in both public and parochial schools. She was a longtime member of Barnwell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, "Bub" Fortner of Fairhope; daughters, Lisa (Brian) Padgett of Pendagrass, Georgia and Jessica (Steve) Gann of New Market, Tennessee; grandchildren, Andria, Braden and Andy; brothers, Charles (Ellen) White of Bena, Virginia and Stephen White of Ashville, North Carolina; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Barnwell Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Autism Society of America.
