The Kandice L. Wasp Memorial Scholarship committee presented its 2017 annual award to Meredith Annan, graduate of Robertsdale High School.

Annan is the daughter of Donald and Brenda Annan of Loxley. She is active in the National Honor Society and served as parliamentarian, Key Club, and served as secretary, Health Occupant students of America (HOSA), and completed a health internship.

Annan’s college preference is the University of Alabama, and hopes to major in biology and pursue her goal of studying pediatric psychiatry.

The scholarship, given annually to a former Silverhill school student, is sponsored by the Silverhill PTA along with contributions from the Wasp family and friends.
