FOLEY, Ala. — Robertsdale defeated neighboring rival Foley 16-5 Wednesday night. The Golden Bears improved to 5-2 overall. MaKenzie Hardy got the win for Robertsdale to improve her record to 2-0. She gave up six hits and allowed two unearned runs. AnaBeth Duke finished the game in the circle for RHS. Emily Sinclair was 3-for-3 with seven RBIs and Annaleigh Ash was 2-for-2 to lead the Bears’ offensive efforts.
For Foley, Faith Payne took the loss, Delilah Benton had two hits for the Lions.
RHS is in the Troy Tournament Friday, March 3 opening against Andalusia. Announcing a rescheduling/time-change alert, the Golden Bears will play at Gulf Shores on Monday, March 13. JV will play at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 6:30 p.m.
